Snowball fighting with the Speaker

OK, so we didn't exactly snowball fight with John Boehner, Speaker of the House, but John was talking to him while the boys were snowball fighting. We were at the Timberline Resort at Mount Hood and I was sitting on the patio, enjoying the views and the weather, the kids were playing in the snow and some guy walked on to the patio. I knew he looked familiar, but I am embarrassed to say I could not place him. John then walked right up and started talking to him. No, I didn't get a picture - John had the camera in his pocket. The Speaker seemed very pleasant.  We were at 7,000 feet (the summit is at 11,000). The slopes were open with skiers and snowboarders making their way down the mountain. Alexa worked on a snowman and Jimmy and Peter could have worked on forts and played in the snow all day. We headed back down the mountain for some relaxing and a swim before heading to the Columbia River Gorge. There, we saw the 2nd highest waterfall in the United States - Multnomah Falls. Trivia - what is the tallest? Hint - we were there last summer - if you guessed Yosemite Falls you are correct. This evening has been lounging around and laundry! (Its only been a couple of days, but we have a washer and dryer in our unit so we had to take advantage) .Quick update - the tooth fairy visited Peter last night - we are relieved she found him on vacation. He is now missing both of his front teeth. Our stay here has been awesome, but tomorrow morning we are headed out of the mountains to Portland, arriving at the coast tomorrow evening. We'll keep you posted. Note: I am having trouble loading pictures - it keeps timing out - I will work on a different format and hopefully will share them all. The pic below is of our 'hotel room'.
